The 5th Annual DJ SNATCH-1 Appreciation Awards

Happy New Year to the entire TEAM SNATCH-1 Family, Friends & Support Unit....2010 was another tremendously successful one and we look forward to continuing to strive in 2011. This year, we're focusing on OWNERSHIP (in all facets of the word). With that said, I present my Annual Appreciation Awards and Thanks:

The J.I Group Promoters of the Year Award-

B.F.E. (Business First Ent.) w/ Marcelis, McKinley and (my girl) Zulu... This year's award was chosen a little differently this time around. I looked for the promoters who took the game in the light that it should be taken. Do your job, get the people to the event, then hand the reigns over to the DJ and enjoy yourself with your patrons. Who did that better than B.F.E. in 2010. From the 'photo shoots' to the shades to the Facebook convos, B.F.E. made their patrons feel like best friends and family. Keep up the good work.


DJ SNATCH-1 Party of the Year-

I did a bunch of incredible nightclub events in 2010. Nuff Respect goes out to all the truly hard-working promoters and the patrons who came out to enjoy our production. However, 2010 saw DJ SNATCH-1 branch off into many different, yet very mature directions. So, with that said, this year's awards goes out to the 'DJ SNATCH-1/ 'So You Call Yourself A Fan/ I.M.S. SUPER BOWL PARTY' at Samantha's Southern Cuisine. The event was a RSVP'd SOLD OUT Extravaganza, lol. We actually turned over 100 people away, sending them to other local establishments because our place was over capacity. (Share The Love with the Community). We had all the effects of a NFL Game, including the Pre-Game Tailgating Party, Trivia, Games, Raffles, Dope Music from the Entire Immense Music Squad, Drinks and Food Menus plus a GREAT GAME!!! What could beat that?

Shout out to 'The Ice-Man' Esquire (SYCYAF) and Mr. Go Hard Harris (N.C.)

2. Chris Green (ShakeDown).....Red Cafe had another Hella Year, Bad Boy moves were big. Yet through all that, Chris made sure that he passed thru one of my birthday parties!!!

3. J. Lopez (Jive/RCA/Battery)..... I see the kid's hustle. Keep moving!!!

DJ SNATCH-1 Industry Middle Finger Category-

All the DJs who think that they're bigger than they really are. There are waaay too many of you 'GREAT DJs', who really have NEVER TRULY CRUSHED a party!!! EVER!!! The best asset of a DJ is his humility. When you're told that you 'Killed It', a GREAT DJ replies 'It was cool' or something along those lines. AND, learn some music... Do some research into other genres and history. The crowd is a pawn of your direction. Every now and then, TEACH THEM SOMETHING!!! On that note, I cosign those 'So you wanna be a D-J' YouTube videos. The one about the 'OPEN-UP DJ' felt like I wrote it myself!!!

DJ SNATCH-1 Most Improved DJ-

DJ SMOOVE SKI.... To folks in the Bronx NY, this kid has been rocking all of their Hottest Events for years. You can even ask the peeps at 40/40 CLUB in Atlantic City if he gets busy and they'll cosign him as well. But when it came down to adding new DJs to my team, DA UNION, we put Smoove Ski's potential and accomplishments up against many other prospective DJs and he out-shined them by far. I'd say, if you plan to throw an event and want one of the Hottest Young DJs in the city to kill it, contact DJ Smoove Ski.

DJ SNATCH-1 DJ To Watch Our For-

DJ BOOF.... This guy is a Self-Promotion Beast!!! From 'What Up, Baiii' (a local catch phrase that ran threw the streets in 2010) to Wendy Williams, Boof is passing through more Urban Communities than Lottery Tickets. I see a big year about to unfold for this guy. I think we need to have a 'conversation'. Lol....

2010 DJ SNATCH-1 Top 3 Community Accomplishments-

1. SUNDAY BRUNCH: For The Love of Black Films.... Along with DJ EXEQTIVE and Mr. Go Hard Harris, we gave our Community an event that the entire family, from kids to Grandma, could enjoy TOGETHER. For the Spring/ Summer Season, we encouraged people to come out and enjoy a detectible brunch menu, courtesy of Samantha's Southern, combined with a Classic Family-Based Black Film and periodically threw in a few Special Causes like Sickle Cell and Breast Cancer Research and Diabetes Awareness, equip with Celebrity Guest Hosts. Our idea was so 'powerful' that other off-springs began to pop up throughout the City. Imitation is the epitome of Flattery.

Sunday Brunch 2011 returns in the Spring time. Look for us!!!

2. DJ SNATCH-1 COAT/ CLOTHING DRIVE.... With the help of my Friends in the various communities, we were able to make six sizable donations to various Charitable Organizations, including Winter Coats, Children's Clothes and Toys, Pampers and Business Suits. 3. ROY WILKINS PARK FAMILY DAY.... We took the opportunity to assist in increasing awareness to the dangers of High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol in the Urban Community. As a victim, I understand the need for close attention to health and awareness. Too many of our people are succumbing to this 'disease' at young ages. Let's fight the trend....

2. The Expansion of My Immense Music Squad (I.M.S.).... My team is NOT a DJ Crew, we are a DJ Organization. Our goal is to help the DJ enhance his brand and his business knowledge. A few notable accomplishments would be DJ MAGIC da Gift's signing to the 'Big Dawg Pitbulls', DJ Reg West & DJ Getlive's Global Travels accompanying some of the Industries Best Artists, DJ Mixx's Recording w/ Legendary Artists and, of course, DJ Exeqtive's App. Great Moves!!! Look out for new 2011 Members and the moves that the entire unit will make.... from the Business Aspect!!!

In closing, shouts to all who have reached out and hired my services for their events. I truly appreciation each and every moment that was spent in the DJ booth musically entertaining and educating people. Special thanks go out to the promoters who had confidence that I could expand the minds of their patrons by not simply playing the 'every night records'. If you want to make a difference, you have to first BE DIFFERENT!!!!
